Committed to maternal and child health in Africa
Matres Mundi International
For more than a decade I have collaborated actively with the NGO Matres Mundi —endorsed by the main perinatal societies worldwide— where I currently serve as Vice President.
LIFE FOR AFRICA programme
The LIFE FOR AFRICA programme provides support to pregnant women, newborns and children in sub-Saharan Africa, one of the regions with the highest maternal and neonatal mortality in the world.
Convinced that education is essential to sustainable healthcare, ten years ago we launched the project to build a teaching maternity and neonatal hospital within a university campus in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Following years of dedication and generous donations, the hospital opened in October 2017.
